Three German GGI member firms recognised as Top German Tax Advisory Firms

GGI member firm Benefitax is delighted to be among the best tax advisors in Germany honoured by Handelsblatt for the third time. The small but powerful team and Managing Partner Oliver Biernat, who is Global Chair of the GGI International Taxation Practice Group (ITPG), were able to not only answer the challenging technical questions correctly but also to demonstrate particular expertise in the area of payroll accounting.

“We are very proud that we were once again able to prove our expertise,” says Oliver Biernat, “and this despite the fact that we did not have as many staff on board as we would have liked at the time of the survey – partly due to sick leave.”

In the time since the Handelsblatt survey, new employees have been recruited at Benefitax, and Oliver hopes to be awarded again next year in the other specialist areas that belong to Benefitax's core competences.

GGI member firm FACT, based in Kassel, is honoured and excited to have been named one of top German tax advisory and auditing firms by Handelsblatt for the sixth consecutive year. In addition to the overall recognition, FACT demonstrated outstanding results in the categories of “International Taxation”, “Inheritance & Testamentary Gifts”, “Corporate and Corporate Restructuring”, and “Valuation”.

On behalf of Handelsblatt, one of Germany’s leading financial magazines, the survey was carried out by market research bureau SWI Finance. Out of more than 4,000 tax advisors and 800 auditors, 700 were included in the list of Germany’s top firms. nbs partners is again one of the top auditing firms in Germany and receives the award “Best Auditors 2023” from Handelsblatt. The aim of the survey was to provide accurate answers to specialist questions on specific areas of expertise. Here, the auditors from nbs partners achieved a high score, which secured them the coveted top ranking.
