Effective stakeholder engagement for sustainability management and CSRD reporting

Stakeholder engagement is not only required by the CSRD, but also has a positive impact on corporate sustainability strategies. But what exactly is a stakeholder, how can we understand them and effectively engage with them? In this presentation, we explain the interests and characteristics of stakeholders in practical terms and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of different formats and types of engagement. We also explicitly address the latest requirements of the CSRD. The presentation answers the following four key questions:

1. Why should companies engage stakeholders at all?

2. What do stakeholders want from companies?

3. How can stakeholders be analysed and prioritised?

4. Where and how can stakeholders be included in management and reporting?
